The Silverado-Modjeska Recreation and Parks Board ("SMRPD") is a California special district comprised of five board members elected every four years. SMRPD develops and runs recreational programs in the canyons for youths, adults and seniors. SMRPD is also charged with management of the Silverado and Modjeska Community Centers, as well oversight of the operations of the Silverado Children's Center.
SMRPD is the only elected government entity in the canyons. SMRPD regular public meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm at the Silverado Community Center. See our calendar page for details.
